It's A Good Day When... {A Link Up}

=It's A Good Day Linkup

Hello lovelies!
I always like linking up with other bloggers and today I'm linking up with Brittany from Happy Is A Choice. I love the idea of this link up.  It gives me a chance to think about the little things that make my day great!
It's A Good Day When...

{one} I score a good deal shopping
{two} My boyfriend makes me laugh so hard I cry
{three} I wake up feeling rested
{four} I have a night to myself to watch Netflix (Any recommendations??)
{five} I can sit on my deck and watch the sun go down
{six} I come home from work and my mom has baked chocolate chip cookies
{seven} My boyfriend says or does something sweet that is unexpected
{eight} I can catch up with a good friend
{nine} I teach a lesson and it goes smoothly
{ten} My favorite song comes on the radio (currently it's Keep Them Kisses Comin' by Craig Campbell)
{eleven} I accomplish a hard workout
{twelve} I learn a new song on the guitar

What would you add to your "It's A Good Day When..." list?

Recipe {Norma's Brownies}

Hi lovelies!
For those that know me know I love chocolate.  Like really love chocolate.  These brownies are right up my alley: definitely rich, chocolatey, and moist.  The frosting is solid but it instantly melts in your mouth once you take a bite.  We just made these brownies yesterday and they're already gone.  Either my family are a bunch of pigs or these brownies are really good.  It's probably a little bit of both. :)

I got this recipe from, who my grandpa refers to, as his lady friend.  She has recently passed away but she always made my brother and I these brownies.  I think one reason I like cooking and baking so much is because I get to re-create recipes from family members and people close to me.  It allows me to be able to carry on the memories of that person.

To make these very chocolatey brownies, start by making your favorite brownie recipe (don't tell anyone but I just buy boxed brownies).  Let the brownies cool and make the frosting as follows:

Melt in a saucepan:
1/3 c butter
1/3 c milk
1 c sugar
Once sugar is melted add 6 oz chocolate chips and stir till melted. Pour over brownies while frosting is hot.

That's all there is to it! Easy, right? These taste so good it's hard to believe there's not more to it.

These are definitely my go-to sweets recipe. Now, go on and try them!

Summer Bucket List

source
Yikes. Has it really been over a month since I blogged last? I think I've had what some would call writers block. I try to write and words start not making sense to me and I can't think of a single thing to say. Please tell me y'all can relate?

Anyways, every summer I always have so many things I want to do, but normally I start making these to-do lists too late in the summer and it doesn't leave me enough time to get everything done. So hopefully by starting in June and not in August I'll be able to finish all of my "to-do's!

Summer Bucket List

1. Have a bonfire with s'mores
2. Go boating on a lake
3. Go to an outdoor concert
4. Watch the sunset (multiple times, of course)
5. Go to an outdoor movie
6. Go to the state park water park
7. Go fishing
8. Do a DIY furniture project
9. Take pictures of a family/couple
10. Create a budget (and stick to it..)

And, I've actually already completed #2. I started writing this post a few weeks ago (dang writers block) and a friend invited me for an impromptu weekend at the Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri this past weekend! So, #2, check! (This may be easier than I thought...)

Any things I should add to this list? What are some things you want to accomplish this summer?
